There are some people who touch your heart forever, and Chadwick Boseman was one of those people. From the eloquence he portrayed as historical figures, to the lessons he taught us as The Black Panther; Chadwick Boseman will be remembered forever. Boseman was born in South Carolina, with roots from Sierra Leon and Nigeria. His father worked at a textile company, and his mother was a nurse. From a young age, Boseman expressed himself through creative arts. He wrote his first play in high school, after a classmate had been shot and subsequently died. He moved to New York to pursue writing, then in 2008 moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Boseman was active in the political community, supporting people of color. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016 and lost the battle on August 28, 2020. A beloved son, husband, and hero. Chadwick Boseman will be missed greatly.
