In his absence from the majority of social media, ZIG ZAG repeatedly mentioned that he had immediately purchased tickets to Kid Cudis’ “Passion, Pain, and Demon Slayin’” Tour at Echostage in DC On 10/8/16. In our interview with Ziggy this winter he told us his #1 goal as a music fan was to attend a Kid Cudi concert, as Cudder is one of his biggest influences. “I am one of the “Kid Cudi saved my life kids.”, he stated without hesitation. “I don’t think I can ever personally thank him for what he has done for me. I can confidently say I wouldn’t be on this earth without him.” We caught up with Zig Zag before the updated website relaunch tonight and asked him a few questions about the 10 year spiritual goal: T. First off, what took you so long to go see Cudi, considering your appreciation and relationship with his music? Z.Z. Money, timing, location. He came to NJ twice when I was in high school 2 years in a row, ON MY MOMS BIRTHDAY. Blew my shit. Then he stayed on the west coast for a while. This was the first time he was performing within hours of me, in years. My girlfriend surprised me with the tickets, blew my freaking mind. T. What was your favorite song he performed live at Echostage? Z.Z. Well that’s hard, I can give you a top 3. He played “By Design” which is probably my favorite song off of the new album. But when he played “Marijuana” & “Cudi Zone” I absolutely lost my shit. Crying my eyes out. That’s what he does, his music hits you where you need it most T. Did you pick up souvenir from the show? Z.Z. Yeah I actually bought this ashtray (as he laughs and ashes a blunt into it.) I figured it’s a nice one and the logo will last forever. It’s rare. It was $20 for a nice glass ashtray or $40 for a T-shirt lmao. T. So overall the concert was worth the wait, in your opinion? Z.Z. Absofuckinglutely, I tried to find tickets to another show before the end of the tour but he just continually heads west until the end. So as soon as he’s back around I’ll be there. Life changing.
